Untitled mini installation

This mini-installation was made for the Device show at the Overture Galleries; it began as a solution to including hanging work that was too fragile to be outside a case (if you walk by a dragon fly hanging by a clear thread, it's going to fly around), but it led to some interesting discoveries.

3 Musical devices

These pieces demonstrate the power of music to move.... They each have their own distinct way of moving, powered by music box mechanisms. I combine the barrel part of one music box with the comb-like part from another one to produce "found" music. To see a couple of them move and play, there are a couple of videos (thanks to Peter Kleppin):

Untitled wall clock

This piece incorporates an earlier wall piece; the section on the bottom is a container full of wishbones with a large lens in front.  The wooden clock case is from my mother's basement.
