Horny
An homage to the fertility imagery found in cuckoo clocks.... I'm interested in the ways people think about time and what that says about what we value in life. After all, time is life--it's all we have. Metaphors of time can be very linear, but some of the most pleasurable and formative experiences involve nonlinear experiences of time.

Mechanical II
This piece combines a chiming clockwork with a second set of chimes. You wind it up with a clock key, and it plays everything at once in sometimes unexpected ways.

Mechanical I
The top section of this piece can be played like a musical instrument--it combines a music box from a cuckoo clock and a set of chimes from another clock. The gears in the bottom section dance around when you crank the handle. It uses the mechanism from a cuckoo clock that featured dancing couples.
